AirLive offers wide range of products from more basic hardware like routers and network cards, to more specialty items like Bluetooth accessories and Skype phones.  Today we are taking a close look at their new Wireless Hard Drive (WMU-6500FS).  Don't flip to the last page just yet, this isn't just a little box you throw a hard drive into and share files.  This thing almost has a mind of its own and does a lot more than just allow for files to be shared on your network.  Now we don't want to spoil everything right off the bat, but stick with us and you may be just as surprised as we were to find out how versatile this little gem is.

The WMU-6500FS is a wireless file server with one 3.5" Hard Drive bay and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Therefore, you can install any 3.5" SATA or IDE Hard Drive and share it instantly on the network. Users can use My Network Place to access the Hard Drive. Even set it as a network Drive. So you can save or read files directly. The WMU-6500FS can set username and password to limit access only to certain users. Best of all, Internet user can access the device throughput standard FTP client.
