![]() The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2 have been officially announced by Samsung ahead of in Barcelona. Building on the success of the original the Galaxy Ace 2 will feature a bigger 3.8-inch display with a higher 480 x 800 resolution. The Galaxy Ace 2 will ship running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on a beefed up 800MHz dual-core processor and 768MB of RAM.
The 5MP camera with LED flash on the Galaxy Ace 2 is no step up from its predecessor but there is joy in the video department with 720p video recording.
There is also 4GB of internal storage chucked into the Galaxy Ace 2, which is a significant improvement of the measly 158MB which came with the Galaxy Ace. You will also be able to boost the storage further with a microSD card. Two at a timeSamsung is also refreshing its low-end smartphone the with the Galaxy Mini 2 and the reboot sees the new handset get a slightly bigger 3.27-inch screen with a 320 x 480 resolution and a boosted single-core 800MHz processor.
The Galaxy Mini 2 will also ship with Android 2.3 and also boasts 4GB of internal storage – pretty impressive for a budget handset. We will be getting hands on with both of these new offers from Samsung in Barcelona next week, so keep a look out for more details. |
